Savage Autism Comments: Letters to the Local Radio Station
Wed Jul 23, 2008 at 05:26:43 AM PDT
The other day I wrote a diary on Mike Savage's vile and repulsive statements regarding children with Autism. You can find my diary here: http://www.dailykos.com/...
As the mother of a child with Autism I took action and wrote a letter to the management of the local station which airs Mr. Savage's disgusting show.
Mike Savage Hates Kids with Autism
Mon Jul 21, 2008 at 01:03:32 PM PDT
Just when you think that Mike Savage has sunk to his lowest, he manages to skim a few more inches out of the pool.
He's now claiming that autism is a fraud. On July 16 Savage claimed that autism is a fraud and a racket and that children with autism where nothing more than brats with parents who didn't know how to discipline them.
As a mother of a child with autism I'm appalled, and I am pleading for all of you to help to remove this vile person from the airwaves.
What About Precedent???
Fri May 30, 2008 at 05:22:06 AM PDT
Tomorrow a decision will be made as to whether to seat any or all delegates from Florida and Michigan. The rules committee of the Democratic National Convention will decide if, despite ignoring DNC rules, their delegates will be seated at the convention next August.
In August 2007 both states were stripped of their delegates as a result of their violating DNC rules and skipping their primaries forward. Now a decision will be made to ignore the punishment and seat the delegates anyway.
If any delegates from Florida or Michigan are seated, then, in the future, why would any state not jump their primary forward in violation of DNC rules??
To seat any delegates will lead to total mayhem in future elections.

Why Support for HRC Now = a Vote for McCain
Fri May 09, 2008 at 09:10:45 AM PDT
It's time to decide. Do you want a Democrat in the White House in 2009 or McCain?
To any and all Hillary Clinton supporters out there, if you really and truly want to see a Democrat in the White House it is time to switch your support and work as hard as possible to convince HRC to drop out.
It's time to stop sending her money. It's time to stop stumping for her in upcoming primaries, and it's certainly time to stop voting for her if you live in any of the upcoming primary states.
Fair and Balanced My A$$

Rupert Murdoch admitted at Davos that Fox News intentionally tried to manipulate people's opinions regarding Bush policies, including the war. Not only did he try to do it here in the United States but elsewhere in the world as well.

Interesting Poll--Dems Cream the GOP
Mon Jan 14, 2008 at 07:07:48 AM PDT
I received an interesting poll from Challenger, Gray & Christmas--an executive search firm. The firm polled job seekers asking them who would be most beneficial for the job market.
Obama and Clinton creamed each and every Republican candidate.

Coulter: Jews Need to be "Perfected"
Thu Oct 11, 2007 at 10:49:36 AM PDT
Just in time for her new book, another Coulter gem sure to send her bigoted, racist fans to the bookstores to buy her new piece of sh!t. But this one, could be used not only against her, but as a symbol of what the GOP has become--a party championing a society where non-Christians are not welcome.

Draft Editorial Re: Lieberman Habeas Vote
Wed Sep 19, 2007 at 12:07:53 PM PDT
Pasted below is a draft editorial I plan to send to several of my local papers.
The editorial concerns Joe Lieberman's shameful vote against allowing an up and down vote on habeas corpus restoration.
Any comments to improve this would be appreciated.
It's below the fold.
Sorry Specter and Lieberman It's Too Late Now
Fri Jul 27, 2007 at 09:44:25 AM PDT
Seems that Specter is shocked, just shocked, that Roberts and Alito effectively overturned SCOTUS precedent, despite their promises.
From the Politico: http://www.politico.com/...
"Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) plans to review the Senate testimony of U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel A. Alito to determine if their reversal of several long-standing opinions conflicts with promises they made to senators to win confirmation."

Giuliani The Cowards' Candidate
Wed Jun 06, 2007 at 09:47:41 AM PDT
Giuliani is the Cowards' choice for president.
We used to have leaders asking us to be fearless in standing up for our rights. Now we have them telling us to cower in fear, so that they can "protect" us by taking our rights.
I don't know what's worse. That politicians like Giuliani prey on people's fears, or that people let him do it.
This discussion is exactly on point.
Why Sears and Other Retailers are Ailing---Hint it has nothing to do with Labor Costs
Thu May 17, 2007 at 05:42:54 AM PDT
I have decided never to shop at Sears again.
Sears, like every other American retailer, whenever it hits a difficult patch automatically assumes it's labor costs dragging it down, and either cuts jobs or wages.
But Sears' problems have nothing to do with it's labor costs. It, like other retailers, needs to understand that you need customer service in addition to a cheap price to keep customers returning.
I just had a bad experience with Sears, and have come to the realization that not only is my money better spent in a small, locally owned store, but I can save myself a lot of frustration as well. More after the jump.
Abortion Debate--The Message I'm Not Seeing but Should Be Made Loud and Clear
Fri Apr 20, 2007 at 05:53:02 AM PDT
As a woman and the mother of a daughter, I am extremely upset over the decision handed down this week by the Supreme Court on partial birth abortion. Not only is the decision unbelievably paternalistic in holding that the government should be able to save women from themselves, but it essentially holds that the potential life of fetus is more valuable than the life of the woman carrying it.
But what is really bothering me is the message that is not getting out and which should be trumpeted over and over again by pro-abortion groups.
Giuliani: The Home-wrecking slut Factor

Rudolph Giuliani's difficulties in remaining monogamous have garnered significant press but I'm not aware of anyone focusing in on his wife's negatives.

South Dakota Anti-Abortionists Strike Again
Fri Feb 02, 2007 at 07:39:53 AM PDT
The Anti-Abortionists in South Dakota are at it again. This time it is even worse, because, to try to get this one through they have put in essentially meaningless exceptions to a total ban.
Read about it here: http://www.cnsnews.com/...

Something Not to Laugh About
Mon Oct 23, 2006 at 03:32:03 AM PDT
Pasted below is the typical e-mail drivel that gets passed around. as truth.
It's riddled with inaccuracies. For example, the claim that crime rates have gone up since prayers and the reading of the bible banned in school.
The fact is that crime rates have gone down dramatically since the 1960's when both were banned. In fact the book Freakonomics attributed the decline to the legalization of abortion.
Second, Madeline O'Hare did not bring the case banning the bible in school. And, I like to point out that the bible in controversy was the King James Bible, which is an anti-papist, anti-Catholic diatribe. So when I hear Catholics screaming about prayers in school and reading the Bible I am just amazed at their stupidity.
It's time to create our own e-mails and pass them along. One based on the truth.
New Commentary:the point here is not who wrote this, but tha drivel gets passed around and picked up by the ignorant and intellectually lazy as TRUTH.
THE POINT IS we need to more effectively counter-act these subversive propaganda campaigns.
A Nation of Cowards--Proposed Editorial

The following is a proposed editorial for my local newspaper. Please give me your comments.
