Future of Missouri Democrats

i didn't realize how dire the situation was in Missouri and that you poor guys are living under unified GOP control for the first time in 82 years!!

I find it sad, but understandable why Missouri has chosen to swing this way. it's a socially conservative state with solid values and i'm wondering what can be done to win it back for Dems. that Kerry only lost by less than expected is somewhat heartening, but the fact that Missouri is labelled red is not good for us. any ideas from Missourians on how to overcome god, guns, gays and abortion in this pivotal state?
